The Church Of The Serpents
it is composed of two parts, one is barrel vaulted and the other has flat-ceiling. it is understood from the grave in the middle of the floor, the part with flat ceiling and the side apses which are left without carving although drawn, that the church is an uncompleted work.
On the ceiling opposite the entrance, Christ is pictured standing with a book in his left hand and a child near him. On the left wall emperor Constantine and Ste. Helena who served to Christianity to a great extent were pictured with a big orthodox cross between them. Near them, the fighting of St. George and St. Theodor with the dragon has been depicted. And near them, Onosimos was shown in an antique dress. On the right of the wall on the right, St. Basil and St. Thomas and then a semi-man, semi-woman figure whose genital organ is covered by a leaf and who has both a beard and breast was pictured. (This woman, namely Onuphrious was a flighty woman once, but then she showed her regret to God, and prayed help for getting rid of the men who want to be with her, and God accepted her prayings and made her ugly with beard.)
