The life of Christ and his miracles are depicted chronologically by using generally green and red tones as friezes on the nartex and barrel vault.

The monks made more realistic, more detailed frescoes with much care. The upper part of the narrow side altar is divided into divisions with a big cross. You can see the pictures of the eight saints inside the niches.

On the transversal altar, the scenes about the life of St. Basileus, depictions of the Saints, and especially the scenes picturing the miracles of Chrits were represented.
